If your child wants to attend a school that conducts proficiency tests in order to be admitted, you need to book it well in advance. The proficiency test is carried out long before the regular application to the school is due.

Some schools carry out proficiency tests before the regular application period to apply for schools that are between 15 January and 12 February.
Example: Adolf Fredrik's music classes have proficiency tests already between 15 October and 15 November. You need to book an appointment for the test yourself.

When you apply to a school that has a proficiency test, it means that the proficiency test is the selection basis for admission to the school.
If you cannot find a school in the list that has proficiency tests, it may be because the school has not notified the City of Stockholm that they use proficiency tests in admissions.
